
NGO mit beratendem Status bei der UNO
The VECU project of EFOS was rounded off from 23 till 25 June 2010 with the international conference "Educational and cultural faces of ageing" at the university of Wroclaw (Poland).
From 24 - 26 March 2010 the university of Hamburg organised a conference on the theme
"Lifelong learning, teaching and research for active ageing in demographiacally changing European societies: The role of the elderly."

The conference was organised by Ms. Gabriele Wesemann of the "Förderkreis des Kontaktstudiums für ältere Erwachsene im Unitrain-Verein für wissenschaftliche Weiterbildung e.V." in cooperation with the Institute for Sociology at the university of Hamburg.
EFOS members contributed to the conference with teh following presentations:
- A head start presentation of Dr. Daniel Meynen (scientific advisor of EFOS and Deniss) in Workshop 2: Relevance of the Elderly for Scholarly Activities and Societal Performance - Knowledge Transfer
- A head start presentation of Dipl. Ing. Peter Hug (Vicepresident of EFOS) in Workshop 3: European Learning, Teaching and Research Projects for and by the Elderly
- Poster presentations of Ms. Mag. Herta Spitaler, Ms. Mag. Gerti Zupanich and Ms. Ingrid Dummer about the work of the VECU projectgroups in Vienna and Kiel in Workshop 4: Intergenerational Learning, Teaching and Research on University Level
